New story arc! I personally consider this the most dramatic piece of work I’ve made.

And we have a segway into the next story arc! While this is the last comic of the current arc, I have decided to stop with the quotes at the end. They are neat, but they were becoming a hassle.
And yes, I had to get one final static electricity joke in. Also, in case it isn’t obvious, the “LALALALA” is coming from Percy. He’d prefer not to know what Jorocks and Holly are doing, even if it’s innocent.

I. Hate. Mirrors. That mirror caused so many redraws… But on the plus side, FRIZZY! Nikki’s hair is based on another real life experience; my little sister and I spent the entire two hour drive home from Grandma’s generating static electricity with blankets one Christmas several years ago. Mom was less than pleased when she tried to comb my sister’s hair.
And in case you didn’t get it, this “power glove” is made from a material that Percy either found or synthesized from Ichabod’s ship, hence his rapid changing of the topic.

After reading the previous comic, one of my friends made the joke of “power glove”. A minor script edit later, and you see the result. Also, Jorocks is just too fun to look at when he gets electrocuted. Poor guy, that means it’s likely to happen repeatedly.
Also, I had a small cameo over at Louis and Pi’s comic (and Louis was nice enough to plug ths strip!), so you should go see it.

Oh Percy… He clearly has no idea what he accidentally implied. And just to be clear, what Percy and Nikki were doing WAS completely innocent. If you’ve never taken a fuzzy blanket and rubbed it in your hair in a dark room, you are missing out on one of life’s simple joys. Warning: If you wear glasses, it’s a good idea to take them off first, as metal conducts electricity. This comic is another that spawned from an actual event.

This is one of the first features that I thought of for Spoofy Randomness. I feel a little guilty that it’s taken a year and a haf to introduce Percy’s greatest invention: the fedora phone. And for those of you too young to remember cell phone designs around when I first started inventing SR, the feather acts as an antenna to boost the signal.

Woo, another arc down! I enjoyed showing off the side characters over the past month, but next month will be back to focusing on the main cast.
I like how Matt turned out in this strip. I think that he has really captured the Eleventh Doctor’s persona well. The Eleventh Doctor likes to get in people’s face, ramble, and then grin and act like nothing happened, often being accompanied with a slap on the cheek. Plus he tends to whip out the sonic screwdriver for EVERYTHING. Poor Ichabod nearly messed himself when the Doctor accidentally got it right. I also really like the quote (from the Doctor Who Christmas Carol episode of Christmas 2010) because it can be applied to the side characters that might get forgotten otherwise while referencing a character in today’s strip. My complaint on this comic is that Holly appears combative in Panel 2 instead of inquisitive.

Poor Matt… He has no idea what he’s dealing with. The spaceship that he is attempting to replicate is, of course, the TARDIS. Obviously, his is not a working model. This is also comical in that it’s an alien who Matt thinks is human talking to Matt, who wishes he was an alien Time Lord.
I like this comic for the little details, such as the glimpse of Matt’s suspenders, the lights, and Chad walking past wondering about Ichabod’s clothes. Ichabod clearly doesn’t understand everything about which clothes are appropriate for what; it’s a good thing Nikki always wears similar things or he’d really be mismatched.
