Chris putting on the sunglasses that he found is a reference to Pokémon X and Y, where the default character design has sunglasses on his or her hat. Personally, I thought they looked dumb and switched the hat decoration immediately, but it is a little more recognizable.

I’ve been noticing your background art more lately and it’s really looking great! I know at one point you used a drafting program, is that still the case?
Yes, I still use Trimble SketchUp. This set is actually the same one I’ve used for several years, though! 🙂 The difference is that it now appears in color.
